Must Be Fall - Soccer and Back to School

The first Saturday in September we went to Evan's first soccer game.  The weather was beautiful and as the game went on, you could actually see the kids coming together as a team.  He is really liking his team and coach this year and they are 2-0 so far.  Go Warriors!!!

...and Evan on his first day of fourth grade.
Good luck guys!!!

End of the Summer Beach Trip - Atlantic City

We made our final (only our second family) trip to the shore on Sept. 7th.  The Medford Ward youth had needed to cancel their trip earlier in the summer and this was the rescheduled day.  It was a beautiful day.

Megan chillin'

Kiana and Dylan making their amazing drip castle.  It was the first one
they had ever made, I think.

All smiles!!

Nathan and Megan catchin' some rays

You have to get salt water taffy!

Wait!  Where did her feet go?  Thanks, Evan!  :)

The smiles just keep coming.....

Mom's drip castle.....it's one of my favorite things to do at the beach

Toward the end of the afternoon it got a little windy!  Yes, the wind
is making it look like Steve is wearing his towel.

T-Hawk showed up toward the end of the trip
just in time for Meg to get this great shot with Nathan.

On the way home we checked another thing off Meg's list by stopping at Royale Crown.  We love this fun homemade ice cream spot in Hammonton.  This pumpkin-pecan ice cream that Megan got was simply AMAZING!!

Evan wasn't feeling that well when we first got there and said he didn't fell like ice cream.....

...but he was excited to hear they had lemon water ice!

Such yummy ice cream!!    Until next season, Royale Crown!!

A Visit to the Hall of Fame Club

We got to do something really fun this month.  Meg wanted to go to a Phillies game before she headed back out to BYU-I so we went online to see if we could find a good deal on tickets.  Since the Phillies are not playing well enough to be in play-off contention, you can sometimes get tickets a little cheaper that people are selling online. We found some pretty cheap ones but then Steve saw some that were a little more expensive but in the Hall of Fame Club.  He decided we should give those a try.  We had a lot of fun!!

Here is Evan in front of the wall of baseballs.  I can't remember how many there were, but it made a serious statement.  You can see them in the background on this next photo.

The Hall of Fame Club seats have access to a section of the park that has it's own food vending and multiple museum displays and photos that the standard fan doesn't get to experience.  Does it look like Nathan is excited to be there?

We got to see Cliff Lee on the mound....nice!!

Evan loved it!!

The bobble-head display case

This was a great photo of some of the 2008 World Series team members in red tie tuxedos.

Megan with a very colorful Phanatic on display

A life size photo of four Hall of Famers....Schmidt, Roberts, Ashburn, and Carlton

A view down the hallway of displays....Very Cool!!!

There were a number of signed baseballs, but this is the one from the game that we had tickets for but gave them away because Steve and I were in Albania picking Geoffrey up from his mission.  We will always remember that little hotel room where we were staying when we heard the news that Roy had pitched his no-hitter in the division series.  Crazy!!!

A seat from the old Connie Mack Stadium

The 1993 National League Champs

Another big photo showing some famous old players.  I think there is one like it in Cooperstown.

Nathan and Meg in our seats
We were right behind home plate and right under the broadcast booth

We got there early because we wanted to allow time to take in all the sites there.
This is the view looking to the right from our seats.

Megan and I got delicious veggie burgers.  YUMMM!

Looking up at the booth...you can see the top of Chris Wheeler's head and Tom McCarthy.

Geoffrey sporting the cool Cabrini College/Phillies hats we got as a giveaway at the game

Nate bought an official scorecard and diligently kept track of the stats of the game

Meg enjoying one of her favorite treats

There's a funny story here.......He does kind of look like a lumberjack...don't you think?
Meg did  :)

Nathan, Megan, Evan, and Geoffrey  with Steve behind them

Thanks, Steve, for making it possible for us to have so much fun exploring this cool place.
Go Phils!!!!

Off to Boston to Meet Lucy Rose

We are so happy to announce the arrival of our first grand-daughter Miss Lucy Rose Robertson!!
She was born August 20, 2013 and weighed 8 lbs, 14.5 oz, and was 21 inches long.
We were so happy to be able to go up to Boston as a family three days later and spend some time with her and her sweet mom, dad, and brothers.  Here are some photos of this new little blessing.
