Stake Prom 2011

It was another successful stake prom this year. With Steve's new calling as Young Men President, and with Megan's responsibility to get servers for the dinner, there were lots of Foulks at the big dance. Steve, Jill, Emily, and Jimmie went to the dance as servers/chaperones and Megan attended with Drew Echard. Drew's family used to live here in the Medford Ward and have since moved to Atlanta. He came up with his dad who was in the area on a business trip.

Happy 28th Anniversary

The day we flew home from Utah was Steve and my 28th wedding anniversary. We had a nice dinner in the Minneapolis airport and had these fun cookies and some great flowers and gifts from our kids when we got home. Many blessings.....thanks so much, family and "I love you, hun."

Stephanie Graduates from BYU!!!

The day after the baseball game, Steve and I got on a plane and headed to Provo. It would be a whirlwind trip, but one we were very excited about. The primary reason for our trip was to see Steph graduate with honors from the Marriott School of Business at BYU. But we also got to pack in some other activities during our short (about 3 1/2 day) visit.
First, we picked out a wedding dress with Emily. She had actually done most of the leg work with Steph's help and had narrowed the choices to two. Next, Steve got to help Geoffrey select a car to purchase. Geoffrey has an internship for the summer and it was time for him to buy a car so that he could get where he needed to go. We also got to help a little with two apartment clean outs, and have a wonderful dinner with our kids there and my brother, Bruce and his wife, Jennifer.
The graduation was wonderful. The main graduation ceremony for the whole university featured Elder Scott as the main speaker. It was very good. The next morning was her college convocation which was equally enjoyable. We even got to see the Robertson family since Michael was graduating as well.
Friday night, Emily headed back to NJ. Saturday morning saw Steve and I getting on a plane home and Stephanie traveling by car down to L.A. to join Marc who had moved down with most of their things a few weeks before. Geoffrey headed to SLC later that week and now, unbelievably, we have no children in Provo. Seems a little strange....but no worries. Several will be back in the fall.

Way to go, Steph!!!!
Go Forth to Serve!

Play Ball!!!

It's baseball time again. We had tickets to one of the preseason games and it was soooo cold. It was just me and the three youngest kids. We bundled up well except that Evan insisted on keeping his outer jacket off so that his red Phillies shirt would show. By about the sixth inning we were ready to cash it in (we are usually die hard fans, but hey, it was a preseason game and freezing) but Evan would not hear of leaving. I made him a deal that at the 7th inning stretch we would go down to a lower (i.e. warmer and closer) level. It they would let us sit down there, we would stay a little longer. He agreed. Well, the staff had no problem letting us go down and sit closer to the action so we settled in some new seats.
Before long, Evan spotted one of the camera men taking pictures of fans and putting them up on the big screen at the park. He headed down and began kind of stalking the guy. The camera man figured him out and with a smile, took some great footage of Evan which went right up on the screen. He was thrilled. We were not smart enough to take a picture of him up on the screen, but Evan's day was made. This photo tells it all. A very fun memory!!

Cut Heads, Pi Contests, Crashed Cars and JIMMER!!!!!

The past month has been one of ups and downs. Not too long after getting back from Boston, Nate came running into the kitchen holding a wad of paper towels on the back of his head. He had slipped on the ice on his bike pulling into our friends' driveway. Lets just say....HUGE CUT.....TONS OF BLOOD!!! Thankfully the mom of the family was there and got him the towels and put him in the car and brought him home. She was also sweet enough to stay here with Evan and Ginny when I headed out toward the emergency room. Thank you, Susan!! As I drove, I had the thought that I should call the doctors office which is on the way to the hospital. The one doctor who does stitches happened to be in so they said we could come by there. To be truthful, if they would have realized how badly he was cut, they probably would have sent him on to the hospital, but by the time we got there, it had kind of clotted up and didn't look as bad. We learned differently when the Dr started cleaning the wound. That blood was spraying all over the place. YUK!!! But he got him stitched up and we didn't have to go to the hospital which I was very thankful for. One week later, the stitches came out and all is well. Crazy.
On a positive note, our Nate won his school's PI contest on March 14th. He successfully recited 225 digits of pi. Way to go, Nate.

This is the blueberry pie that Nathan made for PI DAY. Looks pretty good, huh?

He got this big cookie (seems like it should have been a pie) for winning the contest.

Check out the cool "super PI"shirt that he got, too, and of course the ribbons. Way cool.

On a sad note, Clarissa died (or at least will require major surgery). Clarissa is the car that Megan drives. There was an accident in the school parking lot where there was a mix up with the gas and the brake. We are still deciding if it makes sense to fix Clarissa. For right now, Megan is driving Theresa. This is the green loaner car from the station. Megan is really hoping that Clarissa will return, but we will have to see. Here is a picture of Megan and Clarissa in happier albeit snowier times.

And now....

....Jimmer.

It has been an unbelievable year for the BYU basketball team. SO MUCH FUN. Their point guard, Jimmer Fredette, has received national attention because he is so good and so much fun to watch. His scoring is amazing and he is a real team player. BYU is currently in the NCAA sweet 16 which they haven't been in for about 30 years. Megan even went a little crazy with her photo shop program and created the following. We got a good laugh about it. :)

Mr Evan

Well, the day finally arrived. EVAN HAD HIS SEVENTH BIRTHDAY!!! Our number seven, Evan from Heaven, turned seven. It has been a really tough thing for Evan to wait for. He really is getting so big. Here are a few of the things that he has been up to lately along with a few photos from the various celebrations.

I found this little note on my bedroom door earlier this month. Loved it!!

This one was on the cupboard when I came home one day after visiting teaching....so fun!!

Here, Evan wanted to get started practicing for t-ball. Since we don't actually own a tee, he improvised and came up with this idea. It works pretty well. Good job, Evan!!!

Sure love that smile.

Birthday Morning....His card from Megan

Opening his card from Grandma and Grandpa Tucker

More presents

This photo needs explaining for multiple reasons. First of all....Steve really was not near as grumpy as this photo makes him look. Secondly, Evan decided that he wanted an apple cake for his birthday. I don't even remember him having one before, but he was definitely set on it. Since the recipe I made ( which was absolutely delicious, by the way) did not call for icing, we put a big 7 on top with whipped cream. Evan was delighted.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVAN!!!!
