A Prophet Comes to Visit

What an amazing opportunity we had on Sept. 19th, 2011 to see ground broken by Pres. Henry B. Eyring for the Philadelphia Temple. Sept. 19th marked the 224th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution of the United States which also took place in that great city. Steve and I and his mother, Caroline, were able to attend the actual groundbreaking ceremony with some other members, most of whom have lived in this area for years.
The members of our stake got another thrilling opportunity. Since he was in Philadelphia already for the temple dedication, Pres. Eyring agreed to cross the Delaware River and also participate in the groundbreaking for the Camden chapel to be built this next year. We were able to bring our children to this groundbreaking so that they were able to see Pres. Eyring, too. It was a very full and wonderful day.
