We were able to take part in the first ever Foulk Family Reunion this year. Grandma had wanted to get us all together so we found a resort in Tennessee that we could use through our timeshare and made our plans for August 11-18. Almost everyone was able to come. Janelle's family could not come because after the plans were made she found out that she would actually be expecting a baby that very week! Also, Stephanie's husband, Marc, was working in Alaska and was unable to be there. We missed having them there, but those of us that were able to come had such a wonderful time.
Those who live far away or were only able to be there for a few days flew into the area, but Tracey's family, Grandma, and our family drove down. We did it in two days so it wasn't that bad.
We stayed in Woodstock, VA on the way down. Sunday morning after church we started out again but not until we went down and took these photos near the river. It was a beautiful spot!
Steve and the kids on the elevated foot bridge
We had planned some organized activities, some shows to see, and family time. The resort also had some very fun water parks and other activities which we all really enjoyed. Some of the photos are a little out of order because they came from various sources, but hopefully they will paint a picture of the fun that we had.

One day we headed in to Gatlinburg. Steve scored some delicious beef jerky here
and was pretty excited about it...:)
Em sure had fun....
especially in the candy store.....
...and with this big dinosaur!!
After Gatlinburg we headed into Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It was gorgeous!! We had heard about a great little hike to Abram's Falls in a place called Cade's Cove. It was a long trip to get there, but so, so beautiful!!
Some pretty butterflies
Such a pretty little stream through the place where we ate lunch
Em and Jimmie...the day was getting a little long at this point. They actually headed back after lunch so that he (and his mom and dad) could get some rest. We missed them on the hike, but it was for the best at the hike turned out to be more rigorous than we had thought.
Not exactly sure what she has in her hand...but she seems quite pleased :)
Lunch time
A family portrait - Em, Jimmie and Jim
Kaci, Nikki, and Evan playing in the stream
A happy Steve
Some wildlife along the way. We actually saw a bear cub in a tree, too, but
the photos didn't come out well.
Evan and Kaci on the hike
The scenery was AMAZING!!
But, the path was a little more rugged than we had expected.
The halfway mark to the falls
Evan was so happy to reach halfway
Nikki getting a little snack....They found this creature along the way.
Not even sure what it is.
Tracey and her girls, Nikki and Kaci
"Oh, how lovely was the morning" (or afternoon)
We made it!!
And this was our reward. So fun!!
Our whole crew - at least everyone who was there for the hike
Some close-ups
Nice!!
The resort had some fun activities for the kids and adults right on site.
Here are some photos from around the homestead.
The laser tag area was a favorite. This monitor shows Evan and one of the girls
making their attempt to get through the maze. They loved it!!
Nikki at the bowling center
Evan on the rock wall
Evan and Kaci making the ascent
Evan on the ropes course
He really loved this!!
One day we headed to this fun place. Steve and I had driven by it and thought it looked fun.

Steve, Megan, and Stephanie
Meg and her Mom
Baby Jimmie was a trooper

He was so surprised ? Funny kids!!
Geoffrey, Megan, Nathan, Evan and Stephanie
After church on the last Sunday there, we drove up through a loop called Roaring Fork. It had absolutely amazing scenery!! We took these shots as we drove through. So pretty!!
Jill and Steve by the beautiful stream
Nathan, Evan, Steve, Megan, Stephanie, and Geoffrey by one of the many waterfalls
The reunion was a wonderful time to spend time all together.
Thanks so much, Grandma Foulk, for making it all possible. We loved it!!
