Opening Day (Tabernacle) and Opening Night (Phillies)

Spring is here and that means BASEBALL!!!  Evan is playing again and really looking forward to his first game tonight.  Tabernacle Township always has a big opening day celebration where the baseball and softball teams parade out onto the field, they present a memorial scholarship, sing the national anthem, and then have some kind of pitch, hit, and run competition at the various levels.  Saturday was opening day so I snapped a few photos of Evan in his gear.

Is that an excited face or what?!!

Ready to play ball

Here is the team heading out onto the field

We have had season tickets to the Phillies for the last three years but decided not to get them this year.   We love to go to the games, but it just seemed that we had to give away too many games that happened to fall at a time we were away or couldn't attend.  But even though we didn't get the season tickets this year, Steve wanted to go to a game before Megan heads back out to school.  We went last night and the weather was perfect.  Unfortunately, the team was not at their best and we lost 2-7.  Here are a few photos from the game.

  2. Glad Evan is starting baseball. It looks rather empty in that first pic at the phils game. Were you just there early or perhaps others decided not to get season tickets this year as well...
