Emily's Baby Shower

Megan and I wanted to give Emily a baby shower.  Since Megan started back to school at BYU-I close to the time of Geoffrey's graduation from BYU, I decided to go out with Megan a little early so that we would be able to do the shower.  It was a little hectic, but somehow we managed to pull it together in a pretty short time.
We arrived in Utah mid afternoon on April 17 and had our shopping list all ready so that we bought stuff for the festivities on our way to Em's house from the airport.  Then we spent the evening baking, cutting fruit, making the decorations, etc.  Let's just say it was a late night and early morning.  We had decided to do a brunch on the following day since it was the day before finals started and most people could probably work their schedules around it.  We were amazed that Grandma Tucker and Aunt Jeri even drove down from Idaho that morning.  Such Dedication!!!!  A lot of Emily's ElemEd  friends came along with some family members and some friends we know from New Jersey.  Such a fun group and such generous friends!!!  We had a blast.  Thanks to all who came and shared the special occasion with us.

Mini muffins in full swing

Not sure what Meg is doing here...but it's a nice smile.  :)

Geoffrey and I doing fruit prep...once again, I am not sure about Megan.
I promise she really was helpful.  :)

Emily donned her Cake Boss cooking shirt and helped, too.

Nala could not quite understand what all the fuss was about.

Streamers going up the next morning

Then the balloons

The cute little pennants spelling "Jimmie"

Something was definitely very funny

Emily received so many cute gifts.  We had asked people to include a little book with their gift to start Jimmie's library.  I was so amazed that with all the books given, there were almost no duplicates.  Such fun books, too!!!!  I have just included some photos of the quilts Em got.  Here is one made by cousin Rebecca.  So cute and SOOO soft.

Grandma Foulk sent this hand quilted blanket for the shower

Grandma Tucker made this cute jungle themed quilt.  It has red stripes on the reverse side.

And here is Meg's quilt being opened
