Memorial Day - 2013

Some happy little boys!!

We got to spend some time with our favorite little guys and their parents over the Memorial Day weekend.  Friday started out pretty rainy and cold, but the weather got a little nicer each day.  We got to spend time playing lots of games inside.  Gobblet Gobblers is one of the boys'  favorites!

Here is James carefully putting each piece in place

James in the basement riding the horse...took time for a quick smile  :)

We had a picnic and swam in the pool on Saturday.  It was still a little chilly, but Steve built a nice fire in our fire pit and the boys were able to warm up after being in the pool.  It also made for some pretty yummy s'mores after dinner.

Evan trying to do "rabbit ears" with a marshmallow stick

There was baseball and ladderball played over the weekend.
Not sure which is getting started here...

James LOVED the swing and looking up into the trees

Alan with his "waffle pancakes" - decorated like a flag for Memorial Day

Everyone got in on that action

Nice flag, Evan!!

Yum!!

James helped his Grandpa put up the flag

At the Medford Memorial parade...waiting...Grandma Foulk, James and Janelle

Here come the firetrucks.....Alan and Evan

James wanted to wave, too

And Grandpa's 1954 driven by Steve...Scott, Alan, and Evan got in when they reached us in the parade.
Nice flag waving, Alan!!

We were also able to get the rows of beans planted while Janelle's family was here.
Just need marigolds around the edge and we will be officially done planting.
HAPPY SUMMER!!!!

  2. Such fun pics! I was just about to do mine, and then I realized I hadn't read yours (or anyone elses) in FOREVER, so first I am catching up on that. Hopefully I get something published. :)
