A Father and Son Tradition

There is a weekend each year in May that, in Evan's humble opinion, is the best weekend of the year!!  This is the weekend when our annual father and son camp out is held.  It is a time to just relax with the guys (or so I've heard), learn about the restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood, and do a lot of fun activities.  Each year there is some new happening that stands out in the reporting to us girls.  This year would have to be the fact that the Monts family tipped a canoe losing their car keys and various electronic devices.  But even amidst the mishaps, the boys always have a great time.  Here are some of the photos.

This photo was actually taken in our back yard.  Evan wanted me to get an action shot of his technique in throwing this football.  Looking good, Ev!!

Evan with his catch.  He was the first to catch anything!

Looking pretty proud

Bill Snyder and his son, Christian.  This great family is in the process of moving now.
We will sure miss them.

It's hard to be patient after you already caught that first fish.

The rifle range......one of Evan's favorite things

  1. These pictures are really fun - I love them. Evan looks so adult catching his fish and all :)

PS - On a random side note, the grass in the backyard looks really green and well-kept, I'm impressed :)

  2. Love the fishing pictures as well. So fun! And Steph, if you want to see the good old scraggly grass, you'll have to come here. :)
